The End of April

Ryan meeting the Bradfords for the first time. And getting to know them a little better.

Well as April comes to a close it has been one crazy month. We were able to go down to Vegas for 5 days and got to visit wonderful friends and see family. Trent also finished his coursework for his Master's degree. Can you believe it??? He is finally done!! His thesis is remaining but he can finish that anywhere. We are so proud of him and this big accomplishment. But now as he has finished we now face this yucky economy and that big scary question, "Now what?". Luckily we have wonderful family to help support us. Where would we be without them? Aurora has 1 more month of school. We'll see what happens the next month. We'll keep you all updated.

What's new??

Well we are on the last few steps on Trent's schooling for his Master's. He has a few classes left and has started to apply for jobs. Shockingly enough there are some openings here in Salt Lake. But he has been applying all over the country and some outside the country. There is an amazing offer in the UK, that Trent really wants but depending on a few things we don't know how it'll pan out. The kids are still keeping me in high spirits. Ryan's personality is really showing and he makes me laugh more everyday. I love it when he sits there and lectures me on how to play with his toys. Of course he is still not talking yet but his baby babble makes it even more funny. Aurora is such a great kid. She has a more fun sense of humor. She will make a joke out of the blue every now and then when we not expecting it. And it's the type that is so funny we are crying from it. She is so clever!!! We are planning a trip down to Vegas after Easter and hope to see the Jenkins, Beesleys, the Bradfords and perhaps a few more wonderful friends. Photos will be posted don't worry. We are missing all our friends and family that aren't here. Keep us in your thought as we try to get work in this crumby economy.

March Madness

Now that I am home full time now (WAHOO), it has been absolutely amazing to see the changes in my kids. Not that they were bad or anything. But lets be honest, there is a reason that the Lord gave WOMEN the responsibility to raise and teach the children. I love my husband very much. He is wonderful but he had no structure in their habits. Now that I'm home Ryan is on a steady sleep and eating schedule. He is no longer sleeping in my bed, which is reason enough for celebration. Aurora gets her homework and reading done before dinner. Laundry, dishes, cleaning, and cooking are all done. I even get time for myself(when Ryan is down for his nap) to read and expand my mind.....heaven forbid. I am LOVING this.
Well Trent is now down to 3 more weeks of class. Can you believe it. It is almost over. For those of you who don't know Trent is in the Masters program at BYU in Anthropology. He is studing to become an Archaeologist. His specialty is the Mayan culture, but he has experience in south western USA too. He is loving every minute of it and is happy. He is going to Campeche, Mexico in June to complete his research for his Thesis. He'll eventually get his PhD but lets just focus on his Masters now. I don't want to think of him in school for a bit.
Aurora has 2 more months of 1st grade. She'll be sad when we move when Trent gets a job. I won't really be. These schools here are inadaquate. Besides it will be a new adventure.
In 2 weeks we will be venturing down to Vegas for SpringBreak to visit with family and friends. I am excited for this. I'll have to remember to take photos.
This month I was able to visit with some wonderful friends from my past in CA. I got to visit with Shannon Miller(Yuciapa), Terrell Rohm(San Bernardino), and Tara Allred(Lake Arrowhead). I hope to be able to visit with more this month. It was wonderful to see them again and am so happy that they are all doing well and are happy. It was through Facebook that I was able to reconnect with them. What a wonderful tool. Stay tuned for photos next month. :)

Christmas 08

Geez mom what a great Christmas........here in the ER.

Ryan loves his new fire truck. As long as it has wheels.

ok it's been a while I am sorry. But We had a great holiday this year. Full of fun and excitement. Ok so we spent 4 hours in the ER but hey isn't that what memories are made from? I guess Ryan decided to eat a glass ornament. Lucky for us he didn't swallow, but we didn't now that at the time. The Lord does bless us.

Halloween 08

Ryan loves the cat. Cat on the other hand doesn't seem to like the idea.

Ah yes it is that time once again. I could never understand why my mom hates this holiday the most. I always thought it was one of the funnest. Can you tell which pumpkin was Aurora's? (clue: it was the pixie)
